WEEU’s Paul Roberts has learned that Drew Folmar is leaving Kutztown University after just one season as the head football coach. Folmar is stepping down to become the offensive coordinator at Lehigh University.
The Golden Bears were 4-7 in 2013. They won their last three games of the season and went 3-4 in the PSAC East. Folmar had been an assistant coach at Kutztown University since 2009. He was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach before becoming the head coach last year.
The Golden Bears set a school record for points scored in 2010 with 466. They surpassed that total in both 2011 and 2012. In 2011, Kutztown University won its first PSAC Championship in the history of the football program.
